I've been able to play around with the Volca Sample for some time now, and it's an incredibly powerful groove-box. It was very simple to just pick up and play with, and for such a small device it definitely proves capable; I'd recommend it to both beginners as well as experienced trackmakers for certain. I love the workflow of sampling and I use it a lot in my music, the Volca Sample provides the user with great tools to tweak, shape & place samples. It's definitely my favorite hardware sampler at the moment.

The volca FM was my first volca, and it’s still my favourite. I have loved FM synthesis long before I even knew what it was, especially digging countless of Sega Megadrive game sound tracks from my childhood, which is a sound that is very relatable. Making full fledged FM available in a small format with a dedicated sequencer to mess it up, is super fun. Out of all of my videos, the tutorial that I made about the volca FM is by far the most viewed one. There’s a lot of love for the volca FM, and also a lot of people wanting to learn how this mystical frequency modulation thing works.
